Levering
Getting it there in one piece
Stoneware is heavy, brittle and travels badly. This page sets out how long dispatch takes, what delivery costs, how the cartons are built, and exactly what to do if one of them loses.

Dispatch
Orders leave the workshop within 1–2 working days of the order being confirmed. Orders placed on a Friday afternoon go out on Monday. If a piece is out of stock we email you the same day with a date rather than holding the whole order silently.
Delivery windows
| Denmark | 1–2 working days after dispatch |
|---|---|
| Rest of the European Union | 3–6 working days after dispatch |
| Outside the European Union | 6–12 working days after dispatch |
You get a tracking link when the carton is collected. Large volume orders and split deliveries are scheduled individually — those are arranged through a volume enquiry.
Charges
- Orders under DKK 900: DKK 79.
- Orders of DKK 900 and over: included.
- Outside the EU, import duty and local tax are payable by you on arrival. We cannot calculate them in advance and they are not included in the price shown here.
Shipping is shown in the basket and again at checkout before you commit to anything. There are no charges added after that point.
How it is packed

- Plates travel on edge, never flat. A stack of plates lying flat concentrates every impact on the bottom one; on edge, the load spreads along the rim.
- Moulded paper pulp trays hold each piece in its own recess so nothing shifts in transit.
- Fluted card separators between every piece, so no two glazed surfaces touch.
- Double-wall corrugated outer with a 40 mm crush margin on all six faces.
- Orders over about 12 kg are split across cartons rather than sent as one heavy box. A carton a courier can carry comfortably arrives in better condition than one they have to drag.
No plastic film, no expanded polystyrene, no tape you have to pick off. All of it goes in paper and cardboard recycling.
This is good packaging and it is not magic. A carton that gets dropped down a stairwell will still lose pieces, and we do not claim otherwise — which is why the route below exists and why it is deliberately easy to use.
If something arrives broken
Tell us within 7 days of delivery and we replace it. There is no argument, no returns process to complete first and nothing for you to pay.
- Photograph the outer carton before you unpack any further, including any crush or puncture.
- Photograph the packed layer with the broken piece still in place.
- Photograph the broken piece itself.
- Email the three photographs and your order reference to support@ancherstudio.shop.
We answer within one working day and send a replacement from the same glaze batch where we still have it. Do not send broken pieces back — the carriage costs more than the piece and the shards are a hazard. Keep them until we confirm, then recycle them with household ceramics, which in most Danish municipalities means residual waste rather than the glass stream.
If more than 7 days have passed, use the right to complain instead. It runs for 2 years and it also costs you nothing.
Wrong item, or something missing
Same route, same timescale. Email us with the order reference and what arrived, and we will send the right piece and arrange collection of the wrong one at our cost.
Where we deliver
Denmark, the European Union, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom as standard. Elsewhere on request — email us with the destination before ordering and we will quote the carriage and tell you whether we are willing to send fragile goods that far.
We do not ship to addresses where a signature cannot be obtained, and we do not leave fragile cartons unattended. If nobody is in, the carrier holds the parcel at a pick-up point.
